Innovative porcelain set with shapes and colours, a perfect stage for current culinary trends.

And finally, a truly amazing idea of porcelain: the “sloped plate” which solves ingeniously a well-known problem. Until now, in order to finish the soup it was necessary to keep the plate in a tilted position. Stains on clothing and tablecloth were inevitable.

This problem annoyed the advertising expert Claus Roeting from Osnabrück in such an extend that he set off get a plate of porcelain and some play dough. One hour later the prototype was finished, a plate whose lowest point is not in the middle but on the side of the plate. This dent makes it possible to eat the soup comfortably without tilting plate. Meanwhile, the prestigious porcelain manufacturer Seltmann Weiden has already taken notice of this sophisticated invention that has quickly made headlines. Now this company produces the sloped plate, called “excentra”, in series.

This seems like a product that promises great additional incomes. Just the following quote in the menu will make the guests curious: “Our soup of the day – served in a sloped plate.” And if the customer wishes to have the extraordinary plate at home...
